An atlas of culture and power

The Unbound Realms

A richly authored continent of rival cultures, living faiths, and fractured empires. Its history keeps unfolding as you explore.

02
“Once there was one law, one sea, and one tax. Now there are roads, ruins, arguments, and heirs.”From the public encyclopedia of the Realms

The Reach lies in the western centre; the Iron Heartland to its north, Umbra Magni to its east. Nord-Vast reaches into the high north, the Azure Isles sit off the northwest coast, and Akesh and Pashara anchor the south. Farther east lie the divided Khavari cultures. The central sea bears the wound of the Voided Zone.

The setting becomes a living history

These borders are a beginning.

People, factions, and dynasties carry this history into your campaign. The simulation follows their ambitions, conflicts, and changing fortunes beyond the places you visit. A regional chronicle tells you where a power came from; your world determines what happens next.

Grand strategy, lived in first person

Every border has
people behind it.

Govern a settlement. Build a court. Negotiate an alliance. Muster a host. The food in a granary and the future of a dynasty belong to the same world you explore on foot.

Other powers keep pursuing their ambitions while you make your own way. When you rule, their history becomes your responsibility.
