Azure Wakes

Beneath certain sea lanes around the Isles lie dormant or partial navigation wards from earlier maritime states. At low light these wakes gleam faintly blue below the hull, granting speed, stability, or safer passage when approached correctly. They can just as easily mislead the untrained into reefs, dead harbors, or ghost traffic. Admiralty charts treat the wakes as strategic assets. Fisherfolk treat them with reverence and profanity in equal measure.
