Aberrations

Reference tables contain changeable development values.

It had too many angles. Not too many limbs, not too many eyes. Too many angles. I still do not know what I mean by that.

Aberrations are creatures whose fundamental nature is alien to the material plane. Many originate from the Void or from spaces between realities exposed by the Voiding of Magnus Prime. They defy natural classification, possess alien psychologies, and often warp reality in their immediate vicinity.

Void wraiths and void harbingers are direct products of the Voiding, entities that slipped through the wound in reality when Magnus Prime was destroyed. They are most concentrated around the Shattered Isles but have been reported as far inland as the Iron Heartland. Their presence distorts local reality, causing compasses to spin, shadows to move independently, and stone to weep.

Aboleths predate all surface civilizations and claim to remember the world before the gods shaped it. They dwell in deep subterranean lakes and flooded ruins, dominating lesser creatures through psychic control. Their mucus transforms air-breathing creatures into water-dependent thralls, ensuring a captive labor force. The few scholars who have communicated with aboleths report that they regard the entire surface world as a temporary inconvenience.
